The playing body, technical team of T.P. Mezembe, are expected to arrive in Ghana on Thursday, November 20, to take on a local select side “the Dream Team” in a special Governance Cup match at the Accra Sports Stadium.
TP Mezembe will play a local select side “the Dream Team” on Sunday, November 22, at the Accra Sports Stadium for the annual “Governance Cup”.
The 2015 African Champions, are one of the key celebrants of the Annual Governance Weekend, under auspices of Mo Ibrahim Foundation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government of Ghana.
A statement from Primeval Media, organisers of the match said, at display at the Accra Sports Stadium will also be the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Champions League trophy.
The DR Congo giants, who have in their team super stars from other African countries, are expected to sell their unique brand of football to the Ghanaian football fans after dominating the continent in recent times.
The 2015 African Champions also have in their midst five Ghanaian players, Daniel Nii Adjei, Richard Kissi Boateng, Solomon Asante, Gladson Awako and Yaw Frimpong for the Governance Cup match.
Also in the team for the match, is Tanzanian super star Mbwana Samatta, who played a key role in the success of the team in their continental campaign last Sunday.
Mezembe defeated USM Algiers of Algeria in the finals of the CAF Champions league on a 4-2 aggregate to win the trophy last Sunday.
Primeval Media in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mo Ibrahim Foundation and the Government of Ghana are putting the match together as part of activities earmarked for the celebration of the Annual Governance Weekend.
