Agbeko is physically and mentally ready for June 30 - Fitness trainer

Fitness trainer of Ghana’s former two-time boxing World champion, Joseph ‘King Kong’ Agbeko (31-5, 23 KO’s) is confident that his trainee is physically ready and mentally sound for the boxing fight against Nick Otieno (31-11, 13 KOs) which has been dubbed ‘Legacy Fight Night’ slated for June 29 at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

The former IBO Bantamweight champion, whose career sunk following his defeat to Abner Marez is still optimistic that this fight will resurrect his dream to become a World Champion again before putting his gloves to rest a masterpiece performance and victory against Otieno, a former UBO, IBF International and WBC International Bantamweight champion.

The Legacy Boxing Night is put up by Agbeko’s own Fresh King Entertainment in collaboration with StarTimes TV and the Ghana@60 Secretariat.

Nick Otieno is currently the WBA Pan-Africa Super Flyweight champion after he defeated Tanzania’s Haji Juma by a unanimous decision in February early this year.

Frank Dzidefo Toulassi, the fitness trainer who has been training with the boxer says Joseph Agbeko is ever ready and determined to return to his best.

“King is a focused guy and he is someone that is ready to do whatever to get what he wants.”

“King is someone that never gets tired, sometimes when am having the workouts with him I notice that he really has the heart of a King Kong and is ever ready to whatever I ask him to do during training,” he added.

“He is mentally and physically prepared for this bout because this is the legacy fight and ready to return to the ring.”





Frank Dzidefo Toulassi is a prominent fitness trainer who has risen within the ranks of the profession with his passion for keeping fit.

The young man has also been very instrumental in the society assisting Ghanaians who troop to the Decathlon shop at the Junction Mall on weekends stay in shape with his special aerobics working out sessions.
