Medeama goalkeeper Daniel Agyei says his outfit are ready to pick maximum points from their Caf Confederation Cup clash with Congo’s TP Mazembe on Sunday.
The Yellow and Mauves are hoping to win their second game of the group stage at the Sekondi-Essipong Stadium, following a 3-1 home win over Tanzania’s Young Africans in their last game.
The Ghanaians, nonetheless, lost 3-1 to Mazembe in the first leg in Lubumbashi.
“I’m expecting a victory and I know same goes to the other players,” Agyei told Goal.
“We’ll listen to our coach’s instructions and the tactics that he wants us to play.
“We know it’s a very tough game but I know with the players that we have now, will do our best to reach far. We’re looking forward to win the game and move to the next stage.”
Medeama are currently second in the group, five points adrift of first-placed Mazembe.
Agyei added: “We’re not afraid of TP Mazembe. They have players as we also have. Football is not played with names.
“We’re playing against players that we’re familiar with. They’re coming away and they are coming to get a point. But we want to win.
“We’re determined to win the game and I don’t see any fear in anyone.”
Young Africans, meanwhile, beat MO Bejaia of Algeria 1-0 in the other group game on Saturday, and a win for Medeama will take them three points clear of third-placed Bejaia.
The top two from the group qualify for the next round.
