Agyeman Badu works in the gym

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has moved a step closer to returning to full fitness after working inside Udinese's installations.

The 24-year-old twisted his ankle while in action for his Italian club after going in for a challenge with Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

Badu was then ruled out of the Ghana squad for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda.

The tough-tackling midfielder now looks set to make a quicker than expected return to first team action as he has started running.
