Ghana’s Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has picked former Chelsea star man Michael Essien as his all-time best player to come out of Ghana.
There have been a lot of arguments as to who is Ghana’s greatest footballer since 1957.
However, in order set the record straight, Primeval Media nominated 55 players for ‘Ghana’s Finest 22.’
And that list of players have Michael Essien who will be competing with Adolf Armah, Ibrahim Sunday, Joe Ghartey, Aggrey Fynn as the best defensive midfielder.
But according to Agyemang-Badu, Essien is his best player of all-time.
“For me the best player of all time is Michael Essien. I Hhave played with him before in the national team and he is a great player,” Agyemang-Badu said on dwidwamu on Agoo TV.
“He has developed well as a player, So he is my greatest Ghanaian player.”
Essien had his Black Stars debut in 2002 and has capped 58 times scoring 9 goals in the process. He currently plies his trade for Singaporean top-flight side Persib Bandung.
