MUMBAI, India: Mumbai team Air India have signed Ghana?s Suley Musah to strengthen her squad before the start of the 10th National Football League (NFL) which kicks off in Kolkata and Goa on January 10.
The former East Bengal and Mohammedan Sporting player, Musah will not be available for the Mumbai?s team?s first match in Goa against Salgaocar on January 11 as his ITC is yet to arrive.
?The inclusion of Suley is very important for us and should help us in our chances at the NFL,? said Bimal Ghosh, Air India coach. ?Dr Irani?s expertise will also make the difference because it?s going to be a long and tough season.?
Meanwhile, David Adjei, Ghanaian mid-fielder playing in Austria, has joined Mahindra United and is expected to feature in their first match against Mohan Bagan on January 11 in Kolkata. Mahindra?s other two foreigners are Brazil?s Jose Ramirez Barretto and Ghanaian Yusif Yakubu.
?We needed to strengthen our mid-field, so David was a good option,? said Derrick Pereira, Mahindra United coach.
?Our aim is to win the NFL. And we want to get into the tournament fully prepared.?
