Akunnor in Mexico to facilitate soccer clinic

Ex-Ghana captain CK Akunnor is in Mexico as one of the resource persons for German club Wolfsburg for a coaching clinic.

The 41-year-old joined his former club teammates for the one-week trip to the South American country.

Wolfsburg is carrying out the coaching clinic in one of their youth academies in Mexico.

Akunnor, who is still revered at Wolfsburg, a club he captained, is being used by the club to impart knowledge to students of their academy.

There are even hints he could be handed a job as one of the coaches of the club’s youth teams – a position he is well qualified for in his new life as a coach.

Akunnor is currently the head coach of second tier club Dreams FC. He has previously coached Sekondi XI Wise and Accra Hearts of Oak.
