Former Ghana international, CK Akunnor believes Jordan Ayew’s strong performance at home to Comoros is a testament to Abedi Pele’s previous statements.
The ex-captain openly threw his weight behind the legendary Abedi, after the latter claimed Jordan was the most talented of his kids. Jordan Ayew showed glimpses of his usual self in the latter stages of the Black Stars’ return leg match at home to Comoros, highlighted by his thunderbolt.
CK Akunnor, who played with Jordan’s father for the Black Stars, believes performances similar to Tuesday’s incited Abedi to confirm Jordan as the most talented in the family.
The Aston Villa attacker earned praises across the country with brave outings even at a very tender age. The former Lorient man is renowned for his tricks and quick feet whiles the workaholic nature of Andre Ayew has been his secret weapon.
Akunnor, now a coach of newly-promoted Dreams FC could not agree any further with Abedi Pele as to who the most talented is in his football inclined family.
“The little flashes of brilliance within a shortest possible time show how talented the boy is. The father himself admitted the boy’s talent in their family. He said Jordan is the most talented in their family and it was said with a reason.
He is young and must be allowed to grow and develop as a player. Ghanaians should not be surprised if he is in contention for the African footballer of the year in the future”, Akunnor told sports crusader.
Abedi Pele declared Jordan Ayew as the most talented of his kids to launch an open debate in the football fraternity worldwide. Andre Ayew is currently a household name in English football whiles Jordan Ayew is carving a niche for himself at Aston Villa.
The elder brother enjoyed a dream start to his Swansea career with 5 goals in 12 outings whiles Jordan’s resurgence under Remy Girad continues with 2 goals under his belt.
