Ghana, after seven consecutive months at the top as Africa's highest ranked team, have dropped in the June edition of the Fifa/Coca-Cola World ranking.
Despite slipping to the second position on the continental table, the Black Stars are down 18 places to occupy the 33rd spot on the World ranking log from the previous 15th.
The Black Stars lost a significant 183 points, leaving them with 735 with the loss largely due to the devaluation of the first phase of matches from the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, which has led to considerable movement.
Ghana are second behind Ivory Coast on the African table with Egypt in third place.
Spain are still the best ranked side in the World and the Netherlands sit in second followed by Germany and England in fourth.
