Legendary Ghanaian goalkeeper Ali Jaarah has told Pravda Sports 93.5 FM that Edward Ansah must be maintained as the Black Stars’ goalkeepers’ trainer. This follows recent reports stating that Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah would be overhauling his back room staff, possibly introducing new faces into the team.

Ali Jarah, who was forced into premature retirement after an injury in 1993, believes Edward Ansah has the requisite competence to keep his post. “I feel for now Eddie Ansah is the ultimate man to be a Black Stars’ goalkeeper’s coach,” ex-Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Jaarah told Pravda Radio in Accra.

Ali Jarah also revealed to Pravda Sports that he would accept any national team job as a goalkeepers’ trainer if considered by the Ghana FA.

Ali Jara, who now runs a goalkeeping academy, inspired the Ghana’s silver medal success at the 1993 Under-17 World Cup and the Under-20 World Cup the same year.
