Former Ghana international goalkeeper Ali Jara has heaped praises on Richard Kingson for his stellar performance in the Ghana league.
Jara has called on the handlers of the senior national team the Black Stars to recall the veteran shot-stopper to the team.
“Goalkeepers are like wine. The older it gets, the better the taste. ‘Olele’ has done very well since returning to the local league,” Jara told Ultimate FM in Kumasi.
“He’s been the most consistent performer so far and I believe he merits a recall to the Black Stars. If I were the Black Stars’ goalkeeper’s trainer, it would be an easy decision.”
The 36-year-old has been in superb form for Great Olympics, having kept five clean sheets in his last five matches. He has led Ghana to two World Cups – 2006 and 2010.
