All Blacks draw with Schalke O4

Mankessim (C/R) Nov. 14, GNA - Swedru All Blacks put up a splendid perfromance to hold Schalke O4 to a 2-2 drawn game in their Division Two League match played at Mankessim on Saturday.

All Blacks who are lying on the second position in the Zone 2B League table, out played Schalke O4 at the initial stages and scored the opener in the 24th minute through their centre half, Henry Antfil. Schalke O4 gradually warmed themselves into the game and levelled up the scores through outside right, Ahmed Acquah before the end of the first half.

On resumption of the second half, All Blacks who were determined to qualify for the Middle League, increased their tally to 2-1 in the 80th minute through midfielder, Richard Nyanful but Schalke O4 quickly re-organised to level up the scores in the 83rd minute through Patrick Aminu.

Results of other league matches were, Sekondi Wise-Fighters beat Tarkwa Real United 2-0 with Samreboi Samartex spanking Aboadze Parma 5-0. In another development, Foso Teacher Training College beat the Central Region branch of Association of Sports Broadcasters of Ghana (ASBOG) team 2-1 in a soccer match played at Foso on Saturday. ASBOG scored the opener in the 15th minute through a free kick taken by inside right, Kwame Oduro.

The early goal inspired ASBOG to probe for more goals but the teachers put their act together and quickly repulsed the attack and got the equalizer in the 35th minute through their midfielder, John Idrisu. The teachers continued to dictate the pace of the game and it came as no surprise when Idrisu who played a yeoman's game was on hand again to raise his side's tally to 2-1 in the 44th minute. The Broadcasters took absolute command of the game in the second half and nearly equalized but centre half Oti Asirifi-Mensah's goal bound shots twice hit the cross bar to deny them the much needed equaliser.
