Nana Saforo Okoampa III Paramount chief of Apirede in the Eastern region is set to kick start celebrations of his twenty-five years on the throne.

On Thursday 27th December, led by their Chief, one of the biggest health, fitness and networking walks will be held by townsfolk, tourists and visitors from neighbouring towns.

Nana Saforo Okoampa III was enstooled in the year almost a quarter of a century ago and as a prelude to a year long of events, he has invited the walkers club Ghana, Books & Boots as well as Oxygen World to organise some activities during the yuletide including a mammoth walk, traditional - cultural display and a soccer gala for the children of Apirede.

Revealing this to myoxygenworld.com, a coordinator of walkers club Nana Poku Amankwah confirmed that the Chief would lead the walk.

"it is a great honor to be invited to be part of this celebration for a great king in Ghana who has the youth of his Community and beyond at heart".

It would be recalled that last year, walkers club organized a similar event on a smaller scale which was attended by hundreds from the community.

The December 27th event however, is set to be on a much grander scale which would also attract visitors from around the region and beyond as well as tourists who make the yearly Christmas/New Year and Easter pilgrimage to the Eastern region.

Coincidentally, walkers Cub Ghana would also be marking five years of existence.

Walkers Club and events agency Oxygen World intends to create one of the biggest health, fitness, networks movements in Ghana.

Walkers Club already partners such events as the DC Work Out, Universities Network Fitness, Communities Health and Fitness Tour and other fitness events led by Ghana's number one aerobics instructor Leonard Akoto aka Mr Fitness.

Some of the notable faces expected at the event are Kwesé Free Sports presenters Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, Kokui Selormey and Efia Odo

Also confirmed are 3fm presenter MC Bobby, 2018 Miss Malaika finalist Anne Kusi Gyamfi and some local rising music talents.

Books and Boots Foundation would organise a football gala for under 14 boys followed by a Christmas lunch for 300 children.
