Ghana international defender, Daniel Amartey played 90 minutes in Leicester City’s 3-1 win over Championship side Derby County in the Emirates Cup at the King Power Stadium.
The 22-year-old versatile defender was given a quick start by manager Claudio Ranieri after featuring in all of Ghana’s six games at the just ended Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
The Foxes lads took the lead through Andy King before Abdoul Razzagui netted the equalizer to send the game into extra time.
During the extra time, Leicester City secured their victory through goals from Onyinye Ndidi and Demarai Gray.
Amartey was included in the CAF team of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
