Ghana defender Daniel Amartey has took to Twitter to reveal that he is “doing very well” after picking up a thigh sprain in the Black Stars 2-1 win over South Africa on Tuesday.
The medical team led by Dr. Adam Baba is still monitoring the fitness of the 20-year-old ahead of the Black Stars 2015 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final clash against the runner-up of Group D in Malabo.
“Thanks for all the support. I’m doing very well and privileged to have contributed to that victory,” Amartey tweeted.
The FC Copenhagen centre-back was forced to limp off the pitch in the 33rd minute of the final Group C match due to the injury and was replaced by John Boye.
