Ampofo Ankrah lauds Gyan's gesture

Ace Sports Broadcaster and President of Ghana Beach Soccer Association, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah has lauded the captain of the Black Stars Asamoah Gyan for donating $30,000 to the senior female national team the Black Queens.

The astute broadcaster contends that inasmuch as we criticize the players when they go wrong in their professional, it is also professional on our side to laud them when they deserve it.

Speaking to Ghanasoccernet.com after the Shanghai SIPG striker had donated the cash to the team, Yaw commended Asamoah Gyan and called for more of such gestures from co-operate, Ghana.

“Let's sing their praises when they do good. Especially when it's from their heart. Music, Boxing, Charity and Youth Development. That's the way forward.”

“l was a critic of his management team some years ago, but Sammy Anim, in particular, took it in good faith and has totally transformed the Gyan brand.

“We in the media must beat the drum loud for the other players to also make it a habit. It is a sure way to win and keep new supporters,” he noted.

Gyan gave the money to the Black Queens in fulfillment of a promise he made to the team during the All Africa Games in Congo Brazzaville lat month.
