Report reaching GhanaWeb.com from Nairobi, Kenya suggests that the National Amputee Football Team is stranded at the Sportsview Hotel Kasarani for non-payment of their hotel bills.

A distress mail sent to the editorial office of Ghanaweb.com on Sunday said barring any last minute intervention by Ghanaian authorities, the Black Challenge would be evicted from their hotel.

However, the sender of the mail who described herself as Margaret Njenga of the marketing department of the hotel could not specify the number of days the team had spent in the hotel.

The National Amputee Football Team reportedly left Ghana for Kenya on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 to participate in the fourth edition of the Cup of Nations for Amputee Football (KANAF).

Attempts by Ghanaweb.com to reach officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports for their comments on the matter proved futile as several calls to their mobile phones went unanswered.

Prior to the tournament, there were speculations that the team was facing challenges in raising $58,000 needed for the trip.
