Ghana and West Ham forward, Andre Ayew, says their opening three away fixtures in the English Premier League could complicate their start to the season.

The Hammers begin their campaign with a long trip to Manchester United on Sunday before facing Southampton and newly promoted side Newcastle United in their second and third match respectively.

According to the 27-year-old, fans should not let their emotions run away with them before the season is even a month old.

“We shouldn’t really talk too much,” said the No20. “It’s difficult for us to start the season already with three away games so we need to see how we start the season and from there we can start to know where we are,” he told the club’s official website

“The best way for us is to start well and if we get a good start I think we’re going to do a good season. That’s football. When you start well, it puts you in a positive mindset and gives you the confidence to believe you can do something.

“If we have a good start this year, we have experienced players and good young players so we have a good blend.

“I believe the gaffer knows exactly what he wants, we are right behind him, so we are going to push and see if we can finish as high as we can because the Club and the fans deserve to be smiling at the end of the season.”
