Andre Ayew makes injury return

...as Marseille trounce Bastia

Ghana winger Andre Ayew finally marked his return from injury after coming off the bench to help Olympique Marseille post a comfortable 3-0 win over Bastia in the French Ligue 1.


The 24-year-old replaced France U20 youngster Florian Thauvin 17 minutes from time at the Stade Velodrome as Marseille recorded their second win in three games.


Andre missed the final games of the Ligue 1 first round after picking an injury while in action for Ghana in the 2014 World Cup qualifying rounds against Egypt in Cairo.

But his return was a major boost for the giants as they got back to the winning ways with a resounding win.


Marseille have slipped to 5th place and trail leaders Paris Saint-Germain with 15 points.
