Andre Ayew and his Swansea City team accumulated three English Premier League games without a win when they travelled to Southampton on Saturday.
Swansea who were unbeaten in their first four game in the Premier League this season including a draw and a win against Chelsea and Manchester United respectively had lost to Watford and drawn against Everton prior to the Southampton game.
Southampton made it three Premier League games without a win for the Wales club handing them a 3-1 defeat on the day.
Virgil van Dijk scored the opener for Southampton giving the home side a 1-0 lead for the first half interval.
Dusan Tadic doubled the lead for Southampton before Sadio Mane scored a third at the St. Mary’s Stadium to leave Ayew’s side trailing by three goals to nil.
Gylfi Sigurdsson got a consolation for away side Swansea with the game ending in a 3-1 defeat for Andre Ayew’s side.
The Ghanaian played the full game for his Swansea side without a booking.
