According to a UK newspaper which was privy to the information, Andre Ayew's demands before signing for Swansea city were so huge and beyond belief it could send you purring for breath.
The son of Abedi Pele signed for the English Premier League side last month on a free transfer with the signing-on fee believed to be a massive 8 million Euros even though his salary was undisclosed but it may shock you to know what Ayew's demands were.
The report states that Ayew wanted a pay of £65,000 a week plus £20,000 for each start in the English Premier League.
To put in Ghanaian perspective, Dede was asking for GH¢409,500 (four hundred and nine thousand, five hundred Ghana Cedis) weekly salary in addition to the GH¢126,000 (one hundred and twenty six thousand Ghana Cedis) fee for every league start.
That's not all. The Black Stars forward also wanted a 'landmark goal bonus and an international goal bonus' along with a 'loyalty bonus' if he remained with the same club for two seasons.
In sharp contrast however in relation to his estimated €8 million signing on fee, the report further explained that Dede instead wanted a £2million signing-on-fee, to be paid in four installments spread over his first 19 months months.
