Angry Medeama fans have threatened to ‘pound’ Sulley Muntari when he shows in Kumasi for the Black Stars 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday.

The irate supporters are regrouping in the Garden City to ‘deal’ with the AC Milan star after he physically attacked their club president Moses Armah during Ghana’s disastrous World Cup campaign.

The supporters are incensed with the lack of action from the Ghana Police and have resolved to take matters into their own hands which could lead to bloody clashes if not averted.

Muntari has arrived in his native country to support the Black Stars despite his suspension from the national team.

Head of Medeama’s irate supporters Okodi told Accra-based Happy FM on Wednesday that the 29-year-old will be lynched if he steps foot at the Baba Yara stadium.

“We’ll deal with him when he comes to Kumasi. We have reported the matter to the police and they have done nothing about it,” he told Happy FM.

“When we said we’ll beat him, people think we’re making noise but are determined to carry through with our threat.

“If he is strong he should meet us in Kumasi with all his bodyguards. It’s going to be fireworks.

“We’ll show him how to respect. He’s not the only player in this country with heart. We have moved from Tarkwa purposely because we have heard that he is in Ghana and will be in Kumasi to watch the Black Stars.”

The situation could lead to gory clashes between the two groups as Muntari will be in the company of his well-built bodyguards.

Muntari is yet to publicly apologise to the highly-respected Ghana Football Executive member following an unprovoked attack on him by the midfielder, leading to his suspension from the Black Stars.
