Botswana sprinting star, Letsile Tebogo, anchored his country to their second medal at the 2024 Olympic Games after finishing second in the Men's 4x400m relay on Saturday, August 10, 2024.

Tebogo who ran as the first leg in the heats, ran as the anchor leg in the final as Botswana narrowly missed out on yet another gold running an African record time of 2 minutes, 54.53s to finish behind the USA.

The 2024 Olympics breakout star ran a 43.03 split, which is the second fastest in history behind legendary USA sprinter Michael Johnson's 42.94s in 1993.

Botswana's quartet for the 4x400m relay included Letsile Tebogo, Bayapo Ndori, Busang Collen Kebinatshipi and Anthony Pesela.

Tebogo ended the Olympics with two medals- gold and silver after competing in three different events.

The 21-year-old competed in the 100m where he finished 6th clocking a time of 9.86s before clicking the title in the 200m with an African record of 19.46s.
