Semenyo scored his eighth Manchester City goal against Liverpool
Antoine Semenyo delivered another impressive performance as Manchester City thrashed Liverpool FC 4-0 in the FA Cup quarter-final on Saturday, April 4, 2026, with the in-form attacker scoring and assisting in a dominant display at the Etihad Stadium.
The 26-year-old Ghanaian played a decisive role in the emphatic victory, continuing his fine run of form since joining City in January 2026.
Semenyo provided the assist for Erling Haaland’s second goal on the stroke of halftime before getting on the scoresheet himself early in the second half to cap off a ruthless attacking performance.
City opened the scoring late in the first half when Haaland converted from the penalty spot after Virgil van Dijk fouled Nico O'Reilly in the box.
Moments later, Semenyo turned provider, delivering a precise ball that Haaland finished brilliantly to double the hosts’ advantage before the break.

Just five minutes into the second half, Semenyo made his mark again. After being sent through on goal by Rayan Cherki, the Ghana international kept his composure to calmly slot past the goalkeeper and make it 3-0, effectively ending Liverpool’s hopes of a comeback.
Haaland later completed his hat-trick to seal the dominant win for Pep Guardiola’s side, who controlled the game from start to finish and piled further pressure on Liverpool manager Arne Slot.
Semenyo’s latest goal means he has now registered eight goals and three assists in just 17 appearances for Manchester City since his January move, quickly establishing himself as a key figure in the club’s attacking setup.
