Apostolic Church Usa-Inc Celebrates Diamond Jubilee.

The Apostolic Church International USA - INC., a branch of The Apostolic Church-Ghana, has celebrated its 75th Anniversary of Proclaiming the Gospel, with a three-day convention in the Bronx, New York during the weekend of October 8-10, 2010.

Thousands of the Church members from all over the USA and Ghana attended the very impressive and well organized Diamond Jubilee celebration, which was held at 1000 Morris Ave; under the theme "Great is Thy Faithfulness."(Lamentations 3:23b)

Preaching at the Sunday church service that climaxed the full capacity event the USA Field Superintendent of the Apostolic Church, Apostle Ben Lomotey noted that,75 years in the life of an organization is no mean achievement.

"It has not been easy, since the Church has had its fair share of challenges, but as usual God's promise to build his church has come to pass" Apostle Lomotey noted.

"I can confidently say with a grateful heart that indeed Great is thy faithfulness, because at a point in the life of the church it looked as if the progress of the church had stalled on all fronts, but God’s faithfulness has been manifested" he said.

Apostle Lomotey further said that the visibility of the church has been raised and it has repositioned itself as one of the leaders of classical Pentecostalism in Africa and the World. "We are marching forward as Christian solders and ambassadors of reconciliation to a perishing World"

Apostle Alex Ofosu, the Director of Administration of the Apostolic Church in Ghana said the church has become more vibrant, progressive, and dynamic in recent years, powered by the visionary leadership of Apostle John Anan Adotey and some other Ministers who are passionate about seeing God's glory in the World.

"The Church is now strategically focused under VISION 2010 which covers the following: Covenant life relationship, aggressive evangelism, infrastructure development, human resource development and financial empowerment" Apostle Ofosu disclosed.

He further noted that, some of the outcomes of the VISION 2010 are exponential increasing number and the quality of ministers, construction of the ultra-modern Apostolic leadership and the retreat center at Frafraha,the commencement of Agro forestry project at Agogo, fish farming at Asuboi, Soybean plantations at Kpassa among others.

In solidarity message by the National head of the Church of Pentecost USA-INC Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Owusu urged Christians to let the fear of God, love, unity, respect and togetherness be their cornerstone.

The Permanent Ghana Ambassador to the United Nations, His Excellency Leslie Kojo Christan called on the people to be law abiding citizens and they should contribute their quota towards national development.

His Excellency Christian said that "the Ghana Mission doors are always widely and fully opened to support all worthwhile activities organized by the Ghanaian community.

Apostle Kwabena Akufo, the Chairman of the USA Field Management Officers of The Apostolic Church paid a glowing tribute to the past and present ministers for their immense contribution towards the church in the Diaspora.

The Host pastor, Rev. Samuel Akufo, the New York-A district pastor, who could not hide his joy, thanked the Almighty Lord for his mercy in granting them Wisdom for the success of the colorful event. "This is the mother of all Diamond Jubilees of the 21st Century that has been held in USA", Rev Akufo told this freelance Journalist in a post interview.

He did not hesitate to express his profound gratitude to the hard working planning committee members for their marvelous job done. The committee was led by Elder Kofi Baffour Akowuah - Delaware Assembly, and included Elder Joe Appiah, Secretary - Boston Assembly, Elder Kwasi Nyarko – 1000 Morris Assembly, Elder Stephen Erzah - 1000 Morris Assembly, Brother Titus Monford – Syracuse Assembly, Deaconess Perpetual Acheampong – 1000 Morris Assembly, Deaconess Matilda Allotey - Virginia Assembly, Sister Gladys Abu – Royal Assembly and Sister Cynthia Opoku Mensah - Royal Assembly.
