present, convene every week for the East Legon Monday Stars soccer game.

“I feel

privileged and humbled by this rare opportunity to officially launch Ghana’s

participation in the 31st Amputee Football World Cup in Russia

in the presence of la crème de la crème of football.

“We believe

the best place to launch a football programme is the football pitch where the

real action is. Indeed, your presence here gives me renewed hope that whatever

we have undertaken to do would see the light of day,” said Ghana Amputee

Football President Francis Adjetey Sowah, recently crowned the SWAG Chairman of

the Year.

On hand to

pledge support was Stephen Appiah, Jordan Ayew, Kwame Ayew, Nii Odartey

Lamptey, Augustine Ahinful, Sulley Muntari, Christian Atsu among others.

“We must be

proud of the Black Challenge because despite their physical challenges, they

are striving do something useful for the nation. I will convince many of my

footballer friends to give them all the support we can for them to bring glory

to Ghana as we have also done with the Black Stars,” Tornado Appiah told 90
