Appiah: Mahatma Otoo is a special player

In-form Hearts of Oak striker Mahatma Otoo has received plaudits from Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah following his stellar performance in the domestic top flight.

Otoo has taken the lead on the scorer’s chart with 16 goals in his name helping the Phobians to improve their standings on the 16-team log.

Otoo, who recently extended his contract with Hearts of Oak for one more season, has been described by the Black Stars coach as a “special player.”

“Mahatma is now a special player and the best I've seen now in our local league though we have very good players in the local scene,” Appiah told Sunyani-based Moonlite FM.

“He has been playing in the league for some time but his improvement has been tremendous and he makes the difference in games.”
