Appiah agrees with Schalke 04

Fenerbahce's star player Stephen Appiah has agreed with Bundesliga club Schalke 04 on Monday.

The Ghanaian midfielder is now waiting for his current club and Schalke managers to close the deal.

The Ghanaian midfielder had been the subject of interest from both the West Ham and Schalke this summer.

Stephen Appiah, born on 24 December 1980, is a hard working defensive midfielder who joined the Fenerbahce Canaries in the summer of 2005 from Juventus. Appiah signed a four-year contract with another optional year. Udinese, Parma and Brescia are Appiah's former clubs, before joining Juventus.
