Immediate former Ghana Coach Kwesi Appiah has revealed that Andre Dede Ayew’s presence on the touchline during the Togo-Ghana game last Wednesday? was to issue instructions to his kid brother Jordan Ayew.

Dede, who was replaced with Rabiu Mohamed after the break, was seen on the touchline with his trainer issuing out instructions, as the game progressed.

The Marseille winger’s ‘coaching role’ attracted the attention of the referee who rushed to the Ghana bench to caution him.

Coach Appiah explained to a Togolese journalist in a post-match press conference that Dede was issuing out instructions to Jordan to fall back to support the midfielders.

“He was telling Jordan to fall back and support in the midfield,” said Appiah. Coach Appiah guided Ghana to a 3-2 victory against their Togolese counterparts in Lome last Wednesday.
