Army Ladies carved their names in Ghanaian football history by winning the Women's FA Cup for the first time since they were founded.

The final, which took place at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, witnessed a fierce battle between the Army Ladies and the Police Ladies, with the former emerging victorious in a narrow 1-0 win.

This year's final marked a significant departure from the norm, as it was the first time that neither Hasaacas Ladies nor Ampem Darkoa Ladies, two of the most dominant teams in the history of the competition, were present. This opened up an opportunity for both the Army Ladies and the Police Ladies to make their mark, with the Police Ladies eyeing their second Women's FA Cup title.

The match was a tightly contested affair, with both teams displaying a high level of tactical skill and physicality. However, it was the Army Ladies who managed to break the deadlock in the 49th minute, courtesy of a brilliant strike by Deborah Opoku.

The goal proved to be the deciding moment of the match, as the Army Ladies held on to their lead to secure a historic victory.
