Visiting Berekum Arsenal played a determined game to hold league leaders Kumasi Asante Kotoko in their 26th week Glo premier league match at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.

With four matches to end the league and Kotoko lying comfortably on top of the table with 56 points, they threw everything into the game but could not find the net.

Ahmed Toure playing upfront missed an opportunity in the second minute when he failed to connect effectively from Richard Yeboa’s cross and again missed the target in the 19th minute

Arsenal came closely to scoring in the 22nd minute but Joseph Masel wasted the chance.

Matching the homesters boot for boot, they continued to lay ambush at Kotoko's vital area but the defence of the porcupine warriors warded them off.

In the 46th minute, Iddrisu Nafiu gave a powerful drive but it hit a defender and went to corner and the resultant kick by Michael Akuffo was wasted.

Sensing danger, Arsenal re-organised themselves and had an opportunity in the 54th minute but it slipped off.

Both teams exhausted their substitution but none of them was able to carry the day with supporters leaving the stadium unhappy with the results.**
