Hearts of Oak have announced the signing of Asamoah Boateng Afriyie from Nations FC.
The 26-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the Phobian Club ahead of the 2024/25 Ghana football season.
"A warm Phobian welcome to Asamoah Boateng Afriyie! We're thrilled to have you join the Hearts of Oak family. Let's make some history together!" a club statement said.
Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara reportedly recommended his acquisition to the club after his explosive performances at Nations FC in the just-concluded season.
The 2000 African champions have decided to revamp their squad after a disappointing season where the team finished in 14th place on the league log and are hoping to deliver a better performance in the upcoming campaign.
Asamoah Boateng Afriyie had an incredible campaign with Nations FC, netting 11 goals in 29 league appearances.
He has already started training with the 'Phobians' alongside Michael Mensah Awuah, who is also joining from the same club.
Asamoah Boateng is expected to feature in Hearts of Oak's Democracy Cup match against Asante Kotoko on Wednesday, July 17, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
