Ghana’s leading and Al Ain Striker Asamoah Gyan was the toast of African Exhibitors at the on-going World Travel Market Tourism Fair in London.
The over 30 African countries exhibitors were running over themselves to receive autographs from the Ghanaian striker when he appeared at the Ghana Stand at the Fair.
Asamoah Gyan who was invited to the Ghana stand by the Minister for Tourism, Hon Akua Sena Dansua attracted a packed audience as everyone was excited and dancing including the striker himself to some traditional Ghanaian music and performances to help promote Ghana’s tourism.
Fellow African exhibitors, Tanzania invited Asamoah to their stand where he was awarded with a carving made by a Tanzanian artist and a bottle of red wine.
It would be recalled the Ghanaian striker shot to fame during the 2010 World Cup Tournament in South Africa after scoring three goals for Ghana.
This year’s World Travel Market is being attended by over 120 countries worldwide. Ghana’s delegation is led by Hon. Akua Sena Dansua, the Minister for Tourism. It includes Ghana Private Sector Operators such as hotels, travel and tour operators, travel writers, airlines, aviation experts as well as many tourism industry players.
Ghana’s stand continues to attract a huge traffic of travel experts, exhibitors and the general public.
