Dalian Yifang striker, Emmanuel Boateng has revealed that he received a piece of advice from Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan before moving to the Chinese Super League.
The Kayerispor forward, a former player of Shanghai SIPG experienced the Super League where he spent one season after joining the club from Al Ain.
The 25-year-old’s move to China raised massive concerns after the player excelled in the La Liga with Levante last month.
However, the hardworking forward reveals he kept contact with his Ghanaian compatriot before making his move to China.
“Indeed, for me, Ji’an is like my brother. He often gives me very good advice. Before I came here, I had a phone conversation with Ji’an.
“He told me that if you feel good, then go. Go to the Chinese Super League to prove yourself. Ji’an told me that choosing a Super League would not be wrong.”
Dalian Yifang signed the Ghanaian international for a fee believed to be in the region of 11million euros.
