Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan has received a call-up in Ghana’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone.
Gyan has not played for the national team for some time now partly due to injuries.
Coach Kwesi Appiah also called back long-time absentees like Mubarak Wakaso and Jonathan Mensah into the squad.
The double-header against Sierra Leone would be played in Kumasi and Freetown as the Black Stars seek to redeem their image after a distasteful 0 – 1 defeat to Kenya last month.
The first leg of the game would be played in Kumasi on 11 October.
