Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan has received a €1.6m offer from Turkish club, Bursaspor. According to an offer letter making rounds in the media, the Turkish club is ready to offer Gyan a three-year contract with an annual salary of €1.6m.
By that, the free agent player will take home only €30,000-a-week. This represents about 84% reduction in the Ghana superstar's salary after earning about $12m per year with Chinese side SIPG for the past three years.
Meanwhile, a close source to the Turkish club, Bursaspor, Nihat Katoglu told footballmadeinghana.com that Gyan’s current club has reached an agreement with the new club. “I can confirm that Bursaspor have reached an agreement with Shanghai SIPG and Asamoah and the Ghanaian will sign a two-year deal after his holidays in Ghana.” “Gyan is a great striker and a player Bursaspor have followed so long, now everything is set that he will play for the club,” he added.
