Skipper Asamoah Gyan might have signed for a small club in Turkey called Kayserispor but the Black Stars man turned down the opportunity to join some established names likes Adanaspor and Konyaspor.
The former Sunderland man signed the deal with Kayserispor two days ago and the deal sees him return to Europe for the first time in seven years.
Turkish media has it that Adanaspor and Kayserispor all showed interest in him but failed to meet both his financial demands and football demands.
Gyan is Ghana’s highest goal scorer with 51 goals in a little over 100 games.
