Asampong and three others win MTN CEO invitational Golf tourney

Theodore Asampong and three others came out victorious in the MTN CEO Invitational Golf Tournament, held at the Celebrity Golf Club at Sakumono in Accra.

Asampong, recorded 32 points to win the Men Group A, event to walk away with the trophy and other attractive prizes at stake.

He was followed closely by Geoffrey Avornyotse who recorded 31 points to clinch the second position, while Innocent Wayne came third with 30 points.

In the Men Group B, Augustine Mensah-Hohoayi impressively won in that category with 35 points ahead of Mark Peverett and Oswald Amuzu, who amassed 34 and 33 points respectively. They were also awarded for their efforts.

In the ladies’ division, Agnes Adams brushed off competition to record 37 points to emerge winner.

She walked away with the ultimate prize within that category.

The second position was taken by Vida Anang with 34 points while evergreen Helen Appah came third with 33 points.

For the Seniors event, Joseph Dadson won with a score of 32 while Kwaku Okyere came second with 29 points.

Dr.Ishmael Yawson, the Board Chairman for MTN, congratulated the participants for a great job, adding that they deserved commendations.

He said, the competition provides patrons the opportunity to engage, network, forge stronger relationships and enjoy their favorite game.

“One of our primary goals when we developed the concept of the invitational golf tournament was to foster cordial relationship with our key stakeholders – the gradual acceptance and increase in participation by those who matter in the business space is a testament to the critical role these invitational tournaments play in the business sector," he stated.

On his part, the telecommunication giants is committed to developing the sport in the country and also provide the opportunity to cherished customers to exercise and interact within a very cordial atmosphere.
