Asante Kotoko guardsman Wahab Adams has named Portugal international Kepler Laveran de Lima Ferreira, who is widely known as Pepe, as his football role model.
Adams joined the Porcupine Warriors from Aduana Stars in 2017 after helping the Dormaa-based club win the Ghana Premier League.
The 26-year-old played regularly when the club reached the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup last year.
The burly defender has revealed that he models his game on former Real Madrid ace Pepe due to his aggressive approach to games.
“Former Real Madrid defender Pepe is my role model,” Adams said on Light FM.
“I really love his 100% aggressiveness and that's exactly what I am replicating till the end. My aggressiveness is pertained to the work I do and must maintain full concentration in achieving what I want for the club.”
Pepe, who now plies his trade with FC Porto, was one of the star players for Portugal when they clinched the 2016 European Cup in France.
