Former Asante Kotoko SC player Ibrahim Sunday
Asante Kotoko SC legend, Ibrahim Sunday has advocated for retired players to be included on the Executive Board of the club.
Manhyia recently constituted an Executive Board for the club which is headed by Dr. Kwame Kyei.
According to Ibrahim Sunday, the old footballers also deserve a slot on the Executive Board as they have all the experience to also help the club return to its glory days.
Speaking in an interview on with Odiasempa Kwame Oware on Happy 98.9FM, he said, “I am hoping we can also get a retired footballer on the board.
“They need people who are part of the club’s success and also know the history of the club. If we want kotoko to progress, then it important to get one of these players onto the board. Some of the old players have served the club very well with their hearts and they deserve to be on the board”.
“I hope those in Kumasi can write a petition to Manhyia. If we want Asante Kotoko to return to its glory days, then it's very important”, he added.
