Kumasi Asante Kotoko are nearing the capture of former Medeama striking sensation Abass Mohammed as the club held preliminary talks with the free agent on Friday, Sportsworldghana.com can confirm.
The Porcupine Warriors have money to burn after selling striker Dauda Mohammed to Belgian team Anderlecht for a fee believed to be in the region of 400 000 euros.
Mohammed who does not turn 22 until 21 January scored 5 goals for Medeama in the 2016 CAF Confederation Cup finishing as second highest scorer in the competition where the Yellow and Mauves reached the group stages and helped the club to finish 4th in the Ghana league.
