Asante Kotoko is set to play their first home match at the Accra Sports stadium on Sunday when they take on Bechem United in match week 12 of the on-going Ghana Premier League.
Last week, the Porcupine Warriors confirmed Accra Sports Stadium as their home venue for the rest of the season after the Ministry of Youth and Sports closed down the Baba Yara Stadium for renovation works.
The Executive CEO of the club, George Amoako earlier said that the club was putting in place structures at their training base Adako-Jachie to make it possible for them to play their home games.
However, these structures are not ready hence the club will play their home matches in Accra, joining four other teams using the stadium including arch-rivals Hearts of Oak, Legon Cities, Great Olympics, and Inter Allies.
Asante Kotoko is currently 5th on the league table with 18 points, three points adrift leaders Ashanti Gold SC after 11 matches played so far.
