AshGold Coach CK Akonnor plots Medeama downfall

Ashanti Gold Coach CK Akonnor wants his side to build on their performance against WA All Stars as they take on Medeama in match-day 18 of the Ghana Premier League.

AshGold will travel to take on Medeama at the Takwa T&A Park.

The Miners having defeated WA All Stars 3-0 last weekend will be hoping to secure their second straight win in order to get themselves out of the relegation zone.

CK Akonnor is hoping for a positive result against Medeama on Friday.

“Medeama has been excellent in the League so far. They are very strong at home and it is always difficult to beat them at their end,” he spoke to Ghana Sports Newspaper.

“But this is football and anything can happen, we can go there and beat them and of course that is the target we will be taking into the game, going there to beat them.”

Ashanti Gold have not enjoyed the best of seasons so far as they lie second from bottom with 16 points.
