AshantiGold's appeal against DC decision dismissed

The Appeals Committee has dismissed an application by AshantiGold against a decision that declared them losers of the MTN FA Cup quarter final match with Asante Kotoko.

AshantiGold appealed against the Disciplinary Committee ruling after they failed to turn up for the last-eight match on 13th April 2014 in Accra.

"The Appeals Committee (AC) has carefully considered the submissions of the parties and the record of appeal and is of the view that the appeal lacks merit. We find the decision of the DC as amply supported by the evidence on record and the Statutes and Regulations of the Ghana Football Association (GFA). Accordingly, the appeal is dismissed," the ruling stated.

No cost was awarded against AshantiGold.
