Ashgold beat Faisal in League match

Obuasi, Feb. 28, GNA - Obuasi Ashgold beat Kumasi-based King Faisal 2-1 in their Glo Premier League encounter at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Sunday.

Ashgold scored the opener in the 25th minute through Addoquaye Addo when he rounded up his markers before shooting past keeper Iddrisu Ibrahim. In the second half, both sides lifted up their game but it was Ashgold who had the upper hand and increased the tally to two in the 77th minute through Emmanuel Adjetey.

Faisal got their consolation goal through substitute Ebo Andoh in the two minutes of added time.

At the Anane Boateng Sports Stadium at Abramkese, the match between Kessben F/C and Bechem Chelsea ended abruptly when Referee Sallas Okine failed to continue the second half as he complained of dizziness. He alleged that after the first half while on his way to the dressing room an object was thrown at him by an unidentified person that made him dizzy.

He was rushed to the nearby Jachie Pramso Hospital for medical attention but failed to turn up to continue with officiating, there were however no scores before the incident. Kessben's keeper Alexander Tetteh was also rushed to the hospital following serious injury when he crashed with a Chelsea attacker Obed Owusu in the 35th minute. The Match Commissioner could not be reached for his comments.
