A Patron and ex-board Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Mr Assah Mallah, has appealed to the various parties to end the bickering and press war that have been going on in the club in the last few days.

In a statement he said he read with pain a story published in an Accra sports bi-weekly on 11 May attributed to Asante Kotoko Concerned Supporters Union. The concerned supporters had lambasted Mr Herbert Mensah, the Chief Executive of Kotoko, for his disapproval of a statement

He stated that apart from Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who is the owner and spiritual head of Kotoko, only structures of the club, such as the Patrons, Circles, Kotoko Ladies and former directors whose existence have the blessing of the Otumfuo and recognised by the entire Kotoko family.

?It is my personal view that such release as the one that appeared in the above mentioned publication should emanate only from any of the recognised Kotoko organs,? he stressed. He appealed to all true supporters who do not belong to any of the organs of the club to pass their grievances through the office of the Otumfuo or any of the recognised organs and not the press.

He therefore, urged all stakeholders of the club to respect and obey the board and chief executive appointed by the Otumfuo and offer them the necessary support to ensure peace.
