Atsu and wife enjoy day out with their kid

Injuries may be preventing him from playing a match in the English Premier League this season.

But off the pitch, Christian Atsu is a doting parent with wife Marie-Claire Rupio to their two year old child.

The couple were seen taking their kid for a day out at the seaside in New Brighton, Bournemouth.

Despite the chilly winds, Atsu and wife looked perfectly content as they enjoyed some family time with their young child.

For the outing, Rupio kept her look casual in an eye-catching top, which she wore with skintight jeans and a cute biker jacket.

His husband opted for a low-key look, stepping out in long-sleeved black top, and loose-fitting jeans.

Atsu met his German wife Rupio during his loan spell at Rio Ave and the two got married in 2012.

Atsu's wife gave birth to their first baby in December 2013.

The Ghana international made his competitive debut for English Premier League club AFC Bournemouth against Hartlepool United away from home on Tuesday night.

He was impressive on their pre-season tour but got injured before the start of the current campaign and hasn’t played a part in their three game at English top-flight.
