Former Black Stars attacker and Great Olympics captain Godwin Attram has confirmed his participation in the 2015/16 GN Bank Division One league season.

The experienced attacker joined the wonder club after a lengthy professional career across Europe but his return could not prevent Accra Great Olympics from joining the drop.

The 1977 domestic league champions dropped to the second tier of Ghana football despite a comeback victory over Ashgold in the final game of the season.

As part of his commitment to the Wonder club, the experienced attacker promised to stay with the club in the second tier of Ghana football despite the options at his disposals.

Confirming his participation in the re-branded GN Bank Division One League, Attram cited the need for an early return and priceless nature of experience en route to premier league qualification.

He said, “I have decided for the team to come back. I am part of the team that took the team to relegation so it is up to me to help them back.

My presence in the team is helping them a lot. If I leave the team now they will find a whole lot of difficulties and because of that i have decided to stay with them in order to help the team come back. Experience is very important here”.

Accra Great Olympics followed Heart of Lions and BA United to the second tier of Ghana football with 40 points from the possible 90.

The multi-nominal Wonder side recruited veteran trio of Richard Kingston, Godwin Attram and former Hearts of Oak’s stalwart defender, Daniel Ziema Quaye but still slumped to relegation with their galaxy of stars.
