Aduana Stars left back Daniel Darkwa
Former Ghana international Augustine Ahinful has tipped Daniel Darkwa to take over the Leftback position after the latter’s maiden invitation into the national team.
The one time celebrated Ghana international did not hide admiration for the work ethics of Darkwa and remains confident the Dormaa based rearguard will come good.
Asked on the readiness of Daniel Darkwa for the senior national team on the Friday Night legends show, Augustine Ahinful endorsed the candidature of Daniel Darkwa and singled him out to pick the starting berth.
Daniel Darkwa, who enjoyed enormous success whiles with Aduana Stars in the Ghana premier league, has been tipped by many to fill the leftback crisis at the national team, a feat Ahinful endorsed.
“I know Daniel Darkwa for a while now and seeing him play in the past I think he can play at the national team. I watched him play in the dream team and he has since been very consistent for his club side".
"He is a very good player and given some assistance he will be an asset”, Augustine Ahinful revealed on the GhOne TV Friday Night Legends show.
Daniel Darkwa is one seven local players given a call up by new head coach of the Black Stars James Akwesi Appiah ahead of tomorrow’s crunch qualifier at home to Ethiopia.
