Australia Visa Saga : GOC innocent - Nunoo Mensah

The President of Ghana Olympic Committee Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah has distant his outfit from the 13 detained journalist at the Australia common wealth game.

The aggreived GOC President thanked the Sub-Committee for the work done and also call on Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) also call to book some of her members who abused the media accreditation process which resulted in 13 Ghanaian journalists been detained in Australia and deported back to Ghana.

A section of Ghanaian media practitioners were interrogated and detailed in Australia during the Common Wealth Game with many pointing accusing fingers at the leadership of the Ghana Olympic Committee.

Reacting to the image denigrating issue at the annual congress, Mr Ben Nunoo Mensah thanked the media caucus for their role in bringing gaps between the actors and consumption world.

Speaking at the Annual Congress at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, Ben Nunoo said, "Ghana Olympic Committee had no hand in the detained Ghanaian journalists during the the 2018 Common Wealth game in Australia. We had no hand in it and cant be involved in such".

The GOC supremo then highlighted the abusive nature of some members of the federation who feasted on their positions to mar the image of the Association.

Ben Nunoo Mensah has played a starring role to resurrect Ghana Olympic Committee into one of the most organized federations in the country Under his leadership, GOC were able to secure evelen sponsors namely; PaySwitch Ghana, McDan Group, Mobility International, Decker Engineering, Directline Risk Consult, Toyota Ghana, Ashfoam, Allied Oil,Republic Bank,Indomie and Twellium Industries.
